11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
It was almost more than Bonnie could take: first she fell in the puddle, and got her tail wet and dirty. Then she scraped her knee because she was trying not to hurt the frog, and now her hat!
Before Papa could finish saying “Everything will be alright when …,” Bobby came racing up with Bonnie’s hat. Bonnie took one look at her hat, and started
wailing all over again.
Bobby was so excited about chasing and catching Bonnie’s hat, he hadn’t noticed that the wind had torn away most of the flowers and ribbons.
“Bobby, what did you do to my hat?” howled Bonnie.
Bobby finally took a good look at the hat. His smile faded as he mumbled, “I’m sorry.”
Now it was Bobby’s turn to be upset. All the way to church he had tried to be kind to Bonnie. Come to think of it, Bonnie had not said thank you for any of the things
Bobby had tried to do for her. He wanted to throw Bonnie’s hat at her.
One of my very favorite places to go has always been to the beach. Living in the Midwest, I was so excited to take Mary, then she and her brother, James, to the beach for the first time. Being also near and dear to my heart, of course, Bobby and Bonnie had to make the trip, too. You can check out an excerpt from "Bobby and Bonnie at the Beach" in the third tab above.
Look for other excerpts coming soon. There's still time to order your own copy, or copies to share with those special kids in your life, in time for Christmas. Just click on one of the buttons at the top right under my book cover.
