But this year is different, for lots of reasons, all good. Don't get me wrong, life's not perfect, me neither. We've had several Hallelujah! moments in 2014, and I'm learning to be more appreciative of just plain moments. I'd like to share some biggies with you.
'Course part of what made her so amazing, was the scary (2 month early) arrival of her sister. I'm pleased to tell you, "Gracie" now has a mouth full of teeth, crawls all over the place and was old enough to enjoy a little Christmas spirit. I'm sure we'll have lots more Hallelujah moments associated with Gracie and big sister, Annalyn.
When I retired in June, Tom and I had no idea how or when publishing a children's book would become a reality. By 4th of July, I was thrilled out of my mind to have signed with Xulon Press, with my book quickly becoming a reality. Hallelujah! Life with Bobby and Bonnie made its debut September 29 at Amazon.com. Woot-woot!
One of my former teaching colleagues suggested I sign up to substitute teach at her kids's Catholic school just down the street from the elementary school where we taught. God thought I needed a little more, so two days a week I am blessed to help small groups of students improve their reading skills. BTW, just to keep me humble, I also get to sub at my school in middle school. I regularly tell my new principal and secretary, it's like teaching heaven!
11 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.
12 Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done,
His marvels and the judgments from His mouth...
